F&M Stories
Summer Brings Calmer Campus Days
The sun is rich
And gladly pays
In golden hours,
Silver days,
And long green weeks
That never end.
School’s out.
The time is ours to spend.
- John Updike, “June”
For a brief moment after spring semester, time seems to stand still at Franklin & 鶹ýɫƬ. By day, the buzz of cicadas greets families touring campus. By night, a chorus of crickets echoes across College Avenue.
Soon, the footsteps of returning and new Diplomats will join nature’s symphony. In fact, many already have. Across campus, students have been busy with summer session classes, research and internships in Lancaster. They’ll be joined in coming weeks by fall student-athletes and pre-orientation leaders.
Below, enjoy a snapshot of summer scenes at F&M. Plan your visit.
