Before Commencement, we asked members of Franklin & Marshall鈥檚 Class of 2025: If you could give one piece of advice to the students who will start attending F&M this fall, what would that be?
The advice ranges from practical to passionate. Class of 2029, we can鈥檛 wait to hear what advice you will give incoming students in your senior year at F&M!
A sense of belonging. Faculty mentorship. Small, discussion-based classes. Experiential
learning. A holistic education that doesn鈥檛 define you by your major.鈥淓mbrace every opportunity that comes your way, and don鈥檛 be afraid to step outside
your comfort zone. Some of the most rewarding experiences come from taking risks and
trying something new.鈥�

F&M to FBI: How Kristopher Martinez 鈥�24 Embraced an Unexpected Opportunity
For Kristopher Martinez 鈥�24, F&M wasn鈥檛 just a place to study business and government 鈥� here, he could live it, question it, and grow through it. Martinez said this immersive experience not only fostered skills in critical thinking, communication, and leadership, but instilled the confidence he needed to embrace unexpected opportunities 鈥� such as landing a role as a contract specialist with the FBI. 鈥淔&M gave me skills that have been essential in the start of my career,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 credit F&M for challenging me and allowing me to see untapped opportunities.鈥�

Heading for the Bright Lights
As a first-year at F&M, Samantha Correa 鈥�24 knew she liked working with cameras, writing stories and performing. Now, she is pursuing a master's degree in radio, television, and digital communication at Boston University. 鈥淔&M鈥檚 liberal arts curriculum allowed me to be part of many things during my time there,鈥� she said.
